Introduction

I’m currently nearing the end of my second year of the Computing and IT degree, and the mix of knowledge I’ve gained during this time, combined with a certain obsession I have with machines, makes me want to write.

Everything you read here will be related to Computer Science in one way or another. I won’t intend to use academic language, although it will be technical. And by that I don’t mean that I won’t draw on the academic world, because in fact, it is one of the precursors of this blog. Studying ‘Algorithms, Data Structures and Computability’ was what finally encouraged me to start writing, because I had never before felt the need to read mathematical papers to analyse the complexity of an algorithm, and find it beautiful.

This interest didn’t start with algorithms, though. At the age of 10, I got my first PC without internet access but with the shiny new Windows XP. Sometimes, a computer magazine would come with a floppy/CD containing software that made my afternoon. A decade later, Linux entered my life through Canonical. Two decades later, I now find myself on the side of Arch Linux, carefully checking every package I install, while cursing Gnome for breaking my desktop after the latest update.

Anyway, university consumes all my time, so expect very slow article updates.

Salud.
